Hawk Works
Building a brand with authority
Construction company logo design & brand development.
Hawk Works was a new construction business founded by an experienced company director stepping out to build something of his own.
The challenge wasn’t creating a startup brand that looked new — it was creating a construction company logo design and brand identity that looked established, capable, and trusted from day one.
In construction, perception matters. Clients need confidence before conversations even begin.
The identity needed to reflect precision, control, accountability, and strong project oversight — values that sit at the centre of how Hawk Works operates.
Rather than relying on typical construction clichés, the branding was built around something more distinctive: observation, oversight, and strategic control.
The hawk became the perfect symbol.
This project combined strategic brand development, professional identity design, and a fully considered visual identity – the same approach I bring to all logo design and branding projects for businesses that need to look credible from day one.
The thinking behind the mark
The original concept used a stylised arrow form as the “A” in HAWK — representing a hawk circling above, watching projects from a higher level and maintaining complete oversight.
It symbolised visibility, leadership, and control — not just delivery.
For a construction company logo design, that meaning matters. The mark needed to represent project management, accountability, and confidence as much as it represented the business name itself.
As the identity developed, the final logo softened the customisation of the “A”, creating a cleaner and stronger wordmark while keeping the arrow-hawk symbol as a standalone brand element used across presentations, documents, and supporting brand materials.
This gave Hawk Works two assets:
- A confident, highly legible primary logo
- A distinctive secondary brand symbol with real meaning behind it
- That balance creates a brand that feels both professional and memorable.
The wider branding was then carried through into supporting PowerPoint presentation design, capability decks, tender documents, and client-facing materials to ensure consistency across every touchpoint.

Construction Branding That Goes Beyond a Logo
Branding for construction companies needs to do more than look good.
It needs to communicate reliability, capability, and confidence before a client ever picks up the phone.
For Hawk Works, the goal was to create a visual identity that felt credible in tender documents, capability decks, project reports, and client presentations — not just on a website.
Alongside the branding, I also developed the company’s website design, ensuring the same identity carried through online as well as across print materials and presentation design.
The result is a construction brand identity built to work in the real world, where trust wins projects.
Need branding that looks as established as your business is?
Whether you’re launching a new construction company or repositioning an existing one, strong branding helps create confidence before the first conversation starts.
In construction, people value trust above all else.
