I recently had the opportunity to revisit and update my original web design for Fairfields Farm, a well-loved camping and caravan park located in Pevensey, East Sussex. Having originally designed their website back in 2015, it was time for a refresh to ensure the site remained visually appealing, user-friendly, and in line with modern web design standards.

Since the previous website was built using WordPress, the refresh process was relatively straightforward. The majority of the content remained the same, with the focus primarily on improving the aesthetics and enhancing the user experience. The main updates involved a fresh, modernised design while maintaining the simple availability calendar that allows visitors to check for open dates with ease. Additionally, improvements were made to the site’s responsiveness, ensuring a seamless browsing experience across all devices, including smartphones and tablets. I also take care of the website maintenance & hosting.

The goal of the redesign was to create a clear, easy-to-navigate website that reflects the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of Fairfields Farm. The design incorporates subtle graphical elements that subtly echo the park’s coastal location and proximity to the beautiful Sussex Downs. A carefully selected colour scheme keeps the site visually cohesive, with complementary highlight colours used to draw attention to key calls to action, making it easy for visitors to book their stay.

By blending simplicity with a fresh, modern feel, the website now better represents the charm & appeal of Fairfields Farm while maintaining its familiar, friendly tone.
